the pallesens

the pallesens. where do i begin? christine and i have been great friends now  for almost 14 years. we grew up together and now we are both married to two great men and the four of us love getting together (always for some fabulous food and drinks). christine and her husband, adam, invited us over for one last hang out night in their apartment before they part ways with their first home sweet home for a new home in a few weeks. christine also asked me to bring my camera along and take some photos of them around their apartment complex. i had so much walking around with them. it was a gorgeous night - the weather was perfect, the food was wonderful and the conversation was the best.... here are a few of my favorite photos!

One of the wonderful advantages that I have in working where I do is the fact that I get to see innovations in education all the time! Our elementary school hosts a wonderful outdoor science program! Last week we opened our new "playspot" filled with wonderful outdoor activities that promote students to play OUTSIDE and enjoy the sun, weather and most importantly the exercise. Through the nation there is a campaign titled "No Child Left Inside". Having grown up in Miami, I know how much of a needed motivation this is... Hope you enjoy the photos of opening day!
